| At the forefront of a busy season is an extensive re-image of Jersey Mikes Subs. Ranked as the 5th fastest growing franchise by Restaurant Business, this consumer favorite, consistently voted in Best Of lists across the United States, is primed to become the leader in its market. Cahill Studio has been brought on board to develop a new prototype that will uniquely brand Jersey Mikes on a national level. The new prototype will retro fit the existing 215 locations and charter new units as Jersey Mikes approaches other markets in the US, such as California. The design will honor the existing elements of its proven success while updating the look to keep it at its most competitive. Cahill Studios full service design will also include logo, uniform, and brand imaging. |

| The overwhelming response to the June issue of Nightclub & Bar Magazine (see Thoughts) where Jeff Cahill redefined the Dance Floor design by introducing the concept of morphing restaurants into nightclubs, has peaked industry interest and garnered several new nightclub projects. Two are located in classic resort locations along the East Coast. Fagers Island, the famously popular resort facility in Ocean City, Maryland will be the first to execute the new nightclub/restaurant design. The resort currently boasts two 130 plus luxury room hotels and a restaurant that offers casual and formal dining. The Bolero Hotel, in Wildwood, NJ, gets an overhaul in preparation for a Summer 2003 reopening. Part of the existing three-story structure will be torn down, making way for a 12,000 sq ft addition that will include a nightclub/restaurant design by Cahill Studio. Ongoing projects along the Jersey Shore include the prestigious Admiralty in Monmouth Beach. The dated 80s décor of these luxury condos will update to a design more representative of contemporary shore themes, including warm beach colors, waterfalls, rattan furnishings, and a pond with a sculpture at its center. Building upon its success with Subway Salon, a 2001 award winning design, Cahill Studio relocates the existing Bayonne salon, Teezers , and expands to a new space that doubles its current square footage. Though the essence of Teezers pulses to a club-like audio and visual experience, a floor to ceiling waterfall maintains a soothing atmosphere. Pizzette, a new Neapolitan style Italian restaurant in Ramsey, NJ will be rooted in the design of its origin: Naples, Italy. Colors indicative to the culture will be dominant and the import of a Naples chef, renowned for small style pizzas, will enhance the authentic fare. Cahill Studio continues its distinctive contribution to themed restaurants with the re-invention of The Office. The new concept for the seven-unit chain puts its name to proper use, with office themed decor--from mail carts masquerading as dessert trays, to drafting style tables, to uniforms in the style of 60s pocket protector shirts. This design is primed to take position as one of the strongest concepts for themed restaurants. As selected by Kaplan, Gaunt, & DeSantis, Cahill Studio is collaborating with the esteemed architectural group with the renovation of Loftman Towers in Lincroft, NJ. This mid high- rise apartment complex gets a theme treatment on each of its six floors. Some ideas currently being considered include movies, old photos, sports, travel and garden. Charlie Browns Steakhouse welcomed two new openings this quarter, in Middletown and Yorktowne, NY. Both shattered previous records for sales and continue to thrive with record reportings. The Middletown location debuted the new prototype, which was enthusiastically embraced by the public. Due to increased volume, a larger scale prototype is currently in development and looks to premier next year in Staten Island, NY and Marlboro, NJ. Six additional remodels and three new pad sites are also in development for 2003. Working to maintain the quality of these projects, Cahill Studio is relocating to a larger space in Long Branch, New Jersey. The new office offers penthouse views of the Atlantic Ocean and is conveniently located on the corner of Ocean and Atlantic Avenues. Cahill Studio will also be an exhibiting participant at the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show, November 9-12 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The trade show is the premier event for the hospitality industry, hosting over 45,000 attendees. Please visit Cahill Studio at Booth #8205; see the banner on this page for further information. |
